London Alternative Market is London's first community-supporting market project, held on the first Sunday of every month. The LAM is a great place to come and find out about alternative lifestyles, to meet and socialise with those with similar interests. They welcome people of all sexual identities, orientations and lifestyles including straight, bi, gay, lesbian, poly, TVs, TSs, Masters, Mistresses, slaves, ponies, maids, pets, ABs and even those that are just mildly kinky or just plain curious.

This market brings together a broad variety of fetish goods and services, along with a monthly stage show and seperate workshop on a variety of themes and topics. Vendors supply not only potential purchases but also stand-centred demonstrations, advice and information.

Food and drink is available (and very tasty it is too); it is enjoyed by many as a social day out, and not 'just' a vendor presentation.

The event is run in support of good causes within the BDSM/Fetish community and is open to anyone with an open mind and tolerance of others peoples' lifestyles. Every month, the LAM donates a portion of the money taken on the door to causes that benefit the community. They also give the opportunity each month for a cause to raise money using a raffle, with prizes donated by some of the traders that attend. In addition to this, they offer the opportunity for a month's cause to staff the cloakroom, and take the proceeds.

On selected months there is an after party in a nearby location as well for people to continue socialising after the closing time of 6pm.

Date: First Sunday of every month
Time: 11am to 6pm (doors close at 5.30pm)
Place: Clapham Grand, Clapham, London (but check the website for changes)
