Army surplus stores are good places to find items such as gas masks, goggles and ex-army issue hazmat gear.
Caution must be taken when buying second hand gas masks. Older gas mask filters used asbestos which is highly carcinogenic. There is also the danger of the equipment having been contaminated during combat or training.
