Bit gag

A bit gag is styled like the bit used in a bridle for a horse, and much of its sexual appeal stems from its fetishistic symbolism in human pony play. Especially when used in such play, it may have attached straps to use as reins.
It consists of a bar that is held in place in the wearer's mouth by straps or other device and protrudes on both sides. Unlike the metal bit that is most common in horse bridles, the bar of a bit gag is usually a soft rubber cylinder. It is not very effective in preventing speech.
