A latex movie costume may serve one of two functions.

It may be to disguise an actor as a monster, for example in The Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Alternatively, it may be sexy, such as a catsuit or the transperant latex dresses in the film "Matrix II".

Britney Spears wore a red latex catsuit in the "Oops? I Did It Again" video and shiny black latex pants in her "Toxic" TV show. The pussycat Dolls have also worn latex on TV.
