Nimhneach is currently Dublin's only regular fetish club, running monthly at The Hub, Temple Bar, Dublin, Ireland. It usually runs on the first Saturday of the month.

Nimhneach (Gaelic for "pain" and pronounced 'Niv-nuck') has a strict dress code and has several pieces of equipment for kinksters to play upon. It has two rooms with seating for around 50 people. The general policy is Play before Music so while some dance music is played and the small dancefloor can be filled but writhing rubber- and leather-clad bodies, we do encourage people to play. Changing rooms and coatrooms available.

Dress code includes but is not limited to rubber, leather, corsetry, Victoriana, PVC, full uniform including ceremonial military, school or religious, cosplay, plushies, pet play (kitten, puppy and pony), fancy lingerie or any risqué outfit that your imagination takes you. No Effort, No Entry.

History

Nimhneach started in 2005 in the basement of a bar in Dublin. It was founded by members of BDSM Ireland. It moved through a few other venues before making its home in the Voodoo Lounge mezzanine area for over two years.

Nimhneach is an volunteer-run, not-for-profit event. It regularly receives foreign visitors, many of whom have commented about how friendly people are there.[1] Nimhneach does not try to impersonate or rival other, bigger clubs. It has its own identity and welcomes respectful and funloving kinksters of all persuasions.
