La Nuit Elastique was founded in 1998 by Francis Dedobbeleer and associate Olivier Pé, and has been Paris' biggest and longest running fetish event since then.

La Nuit Elastique is a monthly event, held on the second Saturday of each month. Advance tickets can be purchased from the Boutique Demonia.

For nine years, its venue was the Caves Lechapelais, near the Place de Clichy, until growing attendance prompted the event to move to larger and more spacious premises in mid-2008.

As La Nuit Elastique is a fetish-oriented event, there is a strict dress code at the door and wearing latex clothing, rubber, leather or PVC is a prerequisite for admission to the venue. Partygoers must also be over 18: under-age persons will be refused admission even if they comply with the dress code. The event draws a mostly straight crowd, but it has always had a gay-friendly policy and all are welcome regardless of their sexual orientation.
