Pop singers, especially females, have in recent decades increasingly been wearing fetish clothing in live performances and videos. An early pioneer in the 1970s was Suzi Quatro, who frequently wore a leather catsuit. This trend was accelerated by Madonna, and Katy Perry has been a notable wearer of latex clothing. However, many other singers, such as Beyoncé Knowles, Britney Spears and Rihanna, are doing so as well.
