Ruby’s original passion was dance, which started at the tender age of 3, but she states that she “never fitted in”. In fact, it is said that by the time Ruby was 14 she had become quite the Gothic Ballerina! There is no doubt that she has a similar passion and drive for artistry, now having shot for the likes of Torture Garden, Bizarre Magazine and Marquis, gracing the lenses of Catherine Day and Phantom Orchid among others. She is simply one of, if not THE best in the business.
It is also quite obvious that Ruby is wired differently from the way she approaches the work she is involved in. Stating: “I try to enter every shoot with a feeling or mood and push the boundaries with modelling, it’s about the bigger picture & that’s what really drives me” “I try and put feeling to the end of every limb, I think it’s the energy that makes the picture!”
But it doesn’t stop there, oh no, from the aforementioned ballet, to tap dancing and fire breathing, there seems nothing that this woman can’t do. In fact, Ruby told us that she has just started dabbling in latex clothing, making pieces exclusively for herself for the time being... Style Noir
