Possible revisions:

I would not recommend corn starch as a dressing aid, since it can spoil and cause latex rot. I also believe there is evidence to link corn starch with an increase in allergies, but need a source.

The jury is out about storing latex with silicone polish applied. I certainly have never seen signs of degrading seams, nor has anyone else I know.
