Silicone oil

Since latex clothing is often quite difficult to pull on, people often use dressing aids to make it easier. The best known is talcum powder, which creates a layer between the skin and the clothing. Nowadays, more and more people are using lubricants such as silicone oil or water-based lube. If you apply silicone oil to your skin or to the garment, you can just slip into your garment. The choice of what dressing aid to use is a very personal one, and no single solution is "perfect". Experimentation will help determine what works best for each person.

Vulcanized or chlorinated garments are often easier to put on than untreated ones and may make dressing aids unnecessary.

Oil-based lubricants such as Vaseline should be avoided, as they can damage latex.

Some people have used corn starch as an alternative to talc, but it should be avoided as it can promote latex allergy (see here for example).
