A hobble skirt is a long, tight skirt, extending below the knees and often ankle length, with a narrow enough hem to impede the wearer's stride significantly, thus earning its name. It may be reinforced with straps and buckles or padlocks. It is often made of latex. A knee-length corset can also be used to achieve this effect. A dress with such a skirt is called a hobble dress.
Hobble skirts are popular with submissive women, and with men engaging in forced feminisation.
The bondage may be made more stringent by for example very high-heeled shoes, strapping the arms behind the back, maybe with a monoglove, and gagging or blindfolding the victim.
